Cross Domain Tracking

Cross Domain Tracking enables you to link two sessions on related sites - e.g. www.event.com and www.ticketshop.com - in such way that Google Analytics treats them as one session.

The disadvantage ticket providers like Paylogic and Ticketscript entail is that people always have to leave your website (or domain) and move to the website (or domain) of the ticket provider when making a purchase. This results in the fact that Google Analytics 'loses' the user and UTM Tracking will be useless, because Google Analytics experiences all conversions are coming from one channel.

After setting the Analytics script, Goals and E-Commerce properly, Cross Domain Tracking is he final step to get a 100% insight in data streams and conversions (= purchases).

Installation of Cross Domain Tracking is a technical complex process whereby the scripts of both Analytics and the ticket provider have to be manually adjusted.
