Facebook Plans To Integrate All Its Messaging Platforms

Facebook has announced that they want to integrate the messaging services of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp together in one.

According to Facebook the main reason is to improve encryption and security across all platforms. By integrating all three platforms, Facebook will immediately benefit from shared personal information across platforms. And that could mean better targeting, relevancy and more advertising opportunities, but also the possibility that there will be one messaging platform for all (incoming) messages and where all three are combined. Which could mean new opportunities of reaching a lot of people all at once.

The new update is scheduled end of 2019 or early next year.
