Sharing directly to Instagram Stories from other apps

Instagram has announced a new feature that allows you to share to Stories from other apps, starting with your favorite song from Spotify, or an action shot from GoPro. More apps are coming soon.

This way it is easier to share different kinds of content to Stories, without having to resort to screenshots or screen recordings to make them more interesting and express yourself. Whether you want to share a sticker of your new favorite song on Spotify or action shots from GoPro, you can now easily share both, simply by posting directly to Instagram Stories.

How to do this

All you have to do is tap the share button in either app and the content is added straight into the Instagram camera. The story can then be edited and shared in your Story or sent via Direct. That's it! As you can see, the process is really easy and doesn’t require any further action from you, even connecting your Instagram account to the apps in question is not necessary. This way, you don’t have to worry about your personal data leaking over to third-party apps.
